Roses and Daisies body of work, I explore the female form as a sanctuary soft, expansive, and sacred. The curves and folds suggest a hidden refuge, a place to rest and return to. When I create these large-scale roses, I lose myself in the detail, the rhythm, the immersive scale. I want the viewer to feel relief.
When I enter the studio, I crave the energy you feel outside on a luminous day or one heavy with mood. That natural force feeds my sense of well-being and drives the emotional tone of this work. The roses and daisies are vessels for that energy. I want the viewer to feel it too.
