M. Croul – Artist Biography
M. Croul is a Denver-based artist working in large-scale painting and metal sculpture. Educated at Parsons, FIDM, and Art Center College of Design, she began her creative career in California’s surf industry, blending fine art with fashion through fashion design, including swimwear, board shorts development, color theory, and trend forecasting. A motorcycle accident in 2000, where Marilie experienced memory loss, marked a turning point, leading her back to visual art and sparking a deep, renewed focus on painting and sculpture.
Marilie's work has been featured in group exhibitions at 241 Gallery, A4 Gallery, and Seven Degrees, as well as in curated private showcases including Land and Sea in Newport Beach. Her recent collections Stolen Roses and the Daisy series are represented by FORRE Gallery in Aspen, Colorado, where she achieved a sold-out exhibition during the 2024 summer season. Her latest body of work Rose & Daisy is currently on view at FORRE Gallery for Summer 2025. Marilie views art as a catalyst for conversation, for connection, and for shifting the energy of the environments in which her work hangs.
