ABOUT THE ARTIST
M. Croul is a contemporary artist working between intuition and form. Her practice translates lived experience into layered compositions that hold both presence and tension.
Working in acrylic and oil, her paintings evolve through repetition, mark-making, and symbolic structure. Each piece begins as an internal response and resolves into a visual language that balances control and release. Motifs appear, dissolve, and return, creating a rhythm that reflects perception, memory, and awareness.
Her work is not fixed in meaning. It invites interpretation, asking the viewer to engage rather than observe. The result is a quiet exchange between the work and the space it occupies.
Croul studied at Parsons School of Design, FIDM, and ArtCenter College of Design. She began her career in California’s surf industry, developing a foundation in color, movement, and visual direction. Her work is currently exhibited at FORRÉ Fine Art Gallery in Aspen and THE SPHERE GALLERY in Laguna Beach.
